Egyptian Museum and Grand Egyptian Museum
Starts at 8:00 am Pickup from your hotel in Cairo or Giza by Our guide to Start your full day tour visiting the Egyptian Museum of antiquities. It displays the largest and most precious items of the Egyptian art in the world. It exhibits a rare collection of over 18,000 genuine artifacts that date as far back as 7000 years, including an exclusive exhibit dedicated to the Tutankhamen – A collection of treasures, gold, and jewelry that were buried in his tomb for over 3,500 years before they were discovered in 1922 when his tomb was excavated.
Then visit The Grand Egyptian Museum where you will see:
-The Hanging Obelisk that belong to King Ramsses II (1297 B.C). This is the first hanging obelisk in the whole world and a masterpiece of the museum.
– Colossal statue of King Ramses II. The statue is made out of granite from Aswan quarries and the whole statue weighs 100 Ton.
-Tow statues of unknown Ptolemaic King and Queen (300 B.C) where you can see the mix of the ancient Egyptian art and the Greek art.
-10 identical statues of King Senusert (200 B.C)
-The Victory Columns of King Meren Ptah, the son of King Ramsses II that celebrate the military victory of the king and the number of prisoners and the animal that he brought to Egypt after defeating the enemy forces. it is an amazing piece of art and history
-The Grand Staircase which exhibits wide variety of beautiful statutes from periods of time. The statues represent the journey towards eternity & immortality.
